Neat Font

I have found myself wishing I could tweak the style of the fonts that I have been using for poetry presentation. This eventually culminated with an attempt to create my own font that had all the characteristics I sought.

I started by drawing the character map by hand and then digitizing the characters to create the font. Working on this font quickly made me appreciate the non trivial problems of style consistency and character spacing.

This is a bold italic poster font, with extra emphases on capitalised letters. The font is called neat
